“…That is to say, there exists a great amount of Brønsted basic sites on the pore surface of such a mesoporous NiFe 2 O 4 support. There have been many reports that palladium on basic support materials may exhibit an increased catalytic activity for Heck and Suzuki reactions, compared to that of acidic support materials. The stronger basicity of the catalyst support would lead to the higher electronic density on the catalyst Pd surface and accelerate the formation of active radical ligand ArPd II X (ArPd II X represents activated component α′ in the composite catalyst α′/β); that is, it facilitates such an oxidative addition reaction. It has been reported that the σ donor ligands such as phosphines coordinated to palladium could promote the oxidative addition step by their strong electron donating capability, while π acceptors such as CO and alkenes tend to prohibit this oxidation step.…”

“…The wide variance in the success of hearing preservation during surgery (17–100% for smaller tumors) is due, among other things, to the characteristics of the tumor, the type of surgical approach, and the experience of the workplace (2).…”

“…In general, the success rate of hearing preservation decreases with increasing tumor volume, and in numbers, it differs from 17–100% for small tumors to 5–53% for larger tumors (2).…”
