Abstract: Mediastinal anastomotic leaks are still catastrophic events following surgical procedures and are still a therapeutic challenge. A variety of conservative and surgical procedures have been proposed for the management of this conditions. An aggressive surgical approach is associated with considerable morbidity and lethality.
