Minimal D = 4 $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 2 supergravity from D = 11: an M-theory free lunch

Abstract: We present a new consistent truncation of D = 11 supergravity to D = 4 N = 2 minimal gauged supergravity, on the seven-dimensional internal Riemannian space corresponding to the most general class of D = 11 solutions with an AdS 4 factor and N = 2 supersymmetry. A truncation ansatz is proposed and its consistency checked at the level of the D = 11 Bianchi identity, bosonic equations of motion, and supersymmetry variations of the gravitino. The general class includes an N = 2 AdS 4 solution dual to the conforma… Show more

“…The solutions of [60] have both electric and magnetic flux, and should arise from M2-M5 brane systems. Analysing the respective generalised structure it will become possible to enhance the truncation to minimal gauged supergravity obtained in [11] and [61] (for the solutions of [59] and [60], respectively) by adding matter multiplets. One example of this construction has been given in [62].…”

“…In addition to the D = 4 metric and gravitini, the N = 2 massless graviton multiplet contains a vector. A fully non-linear consistent truncation on GMPS [40] JHEP10(2020)041 αβ denoting the IR SCFT stress-energy operator. Masses that correspond to short multiplets (ticked in the last column) and shadow long multiplets have been given analytically: see section 3.4.…”
