Abstract:A low‐profile ultra‐wideband (UWB) circularly polarized antenna is proposed in the form of a planar Archimedes spiral structure backed by an artificial magnetic conductor (AMC). To expand its bandwidth and minimize its size, the antenna is loaded with resistors and a metal ring near the end of the spiral arms. At the same time, the bidirectional beam is transformed into a unidirectional beam using the phase compensation mechanism by introducing an AMC reflector. The antenna achieves −10 dB impedance bandwidth … Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
