Nitrogenase is a complicated enzyme that actives the ATP-dependent reduction of dinitrogen (N2) to ammonia (NH3). The aim of this manuscript is to review the nitrogenase evolution with considering nitrogenase, structure of nitrogenase, action mechanism of nitrogenase and oxygen sensitive mechanism of nitrogenase. The searches focused on publications from 1980 to February 2023, using PubMed, Google Scholar, Science Direct, and Scopus databases. In the term of evolution, the nitrogen cycle has experienced highly changes; at the beginning of life and suggested the exact anoxic scenario, the comparatively sufficient ammonium was possibly used in an assimilation/mineralization cycle by protocellular organisms. The main nif gene products which are active in nitrogen fixation are nifH, nifD, nifK, nifT, nifY/nafY, nifE, nifN, nifX, nifU, nifS, nifV, nifW, nifZ, nifM, nifF, nifL, nifA, nifB, fdxN, nifQ, and nifJ. The main vnf gene products which are active in nitrogen fixation are vnfA, vnfE, vnfN, vnfX, vnfH, vnfFd, vnfD, vnfG, vnfK, and vnfY. Oxygen can be either detrimental or beneficial for diazotrophs in organisms suitable for an aerobic catabolism, and it supports the production of a substrate for nitrogenase (ATP), but it can also impede the activity and suppress the synthesis of this enzyme.

Drought cause yield loss of soybean production is the major reason to yield losing of soybean. To improve the germination and growth of soybean seeds under drought stress. We studied the effect of the single walled carbon nanotubes (SwCNTs) material in seed germination and the physiological changes occurred under drought condition, performed SwCNTs treatments in soybean (Zhonghuang 35) seeds at PEG drought stress, evaluated the germination, root and shoot length, fresh weight, the activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD), peroxidase (POD), catalase (CAT), and the contents of maleic dialdehyde (MDA), ascorbic acid (AsA) and H2O2. The results showed that under osmotic potentials of 0, -0.3, -0.6 with PEG 6000, the germination percentage of SwCNTs-treated seeds was higher than the control treatment (SwCNTs-untreated seeds). The fresh weight of SwCNTs-treated seeds were evidently higher than that of the controls under the osmotic potentials of 0, -0.3, -0.6 MPa. The root and shoot length were also longer than control in SwCNTs-treated seeds at 0, -0.3, -0.6 MPa (P<0.05, P<0.01) and -0.6 MPa (P<0.01) respectively. Moreover, the MDA and H2O2 contents were lower but ASA content and activities of SOD, CAT, POD were higher in SwCNTs-treated seeds than control treatment under osmotic potentials of -0.3, -0.6 MPa. The results suggest that SwCNTs-treated soybean seeds showed improvement in tolerance to drought stress and the combined increases in SOD, CAT and POD activities in seeds may play an important role in the improvement of antioxidant capacity under drought stress.

Zrównoważony system rolny jest najlepszym sposobem na zaspokojenie potrzeb dzisiejszych i przyszłych pokoleń. W systemie tym wielkość plonu wzrasta wraz z zastosowaniem upraw międzyrzędowych, poprzez wyższy współczynnik wzrostu roślin, redukcję nasion chwastów, ograniczenie ilości szkodników i chorób oraz bardziej efektywne wykorzystanie zasobów. Uprawa międzyrzędowa jest jednym z najważniejszych sposobów zwiększenia różnorodności w ekosystemie rolniczym. Systemy międzyplonowe mogą być bardziej stabilnymi systemami praktyk rolniczych niż uprawy monokulturowe. Najważniejszymi zaletami uprawy międzyrzędowej są: zwiększenie produkcji rolnej i większe wykorzystanie zasobów środowiska. Zintegrowane stosowanie nawozów syntetycznych i organicznych może również prowadzić do rozwoju zrównoważonej produkcji roślinnej. Metoda ta poprawia wydajność działania nawozów chemicznych i jednocześnie ogranicza ich stosowanie. Zielony nawóz z roślin strączkowych, takich jak: koniczyna, lucerna i inne, które są bogatym źródłem azotu uwalnianego w glebie, jest w stanie zmniejszyć znacząco zapotrzebowanie na azot syntetyczny. Tego rodzaju biologiczne wiązanie azotu odgrywa bardzo ważną rolę w zrównoważonych systemach rolniczych. W zrównoważonym systemie rolnym nawozy, odchody zwierzęce i rośliny uprawne oraz chwasty są ważnymi parametrami dla zapewnienia stabilnej produkcji żywności.
