Mindfulness is full attention (FA), focus on the present, intent, and freedom from judgment. International and Brazilian surveys demonstrate the positive effects of mindfulness-based interventions on FA and psychological well-being (PWB). The objective of this quasi-experimental (single group) descriptive qualitative study is to examine FA, PWB, and the connection between them in a population of healthy adults who completed a mindfulness-based health promotion (MBHP) program. Seventeen volunteers responded to the Mindful Attention Awareness Scale (MAAS) and the General Health Questionnaire (GHQ-12) at three moments: pre, post, and follow-up. The researchers employed repeated-measures analysis of variance, multiple comparisons (Bonferroni), and linear correlations (Pearson).
