Milage App – Mobile Learning of Mathematics

Abstract: This paper presents the novel app MILAGE Learn+ Launcher for smartphones and tablets where students can solve mathematical problems outside the classroom or at home and increase the time they spend learning and practicing mathematics. This app is a tool for learning mathematics that provides a set of problems organized according to the curriculum. It was designed for upper secondary schools but it can be used for other levels and subjects too. This tool is innovative in the introduction of self and peer evalua… Show more

“…Using this approach, low-achieving students who struggle to learn the material in the classroom may repeatedly watch the video and the correct solution of the exercise and take as much time as they may need to understand the subject. 15 Top-performing students can have access to more complex exercises, which receives additional motivation. In this way, the platform accommodates students with different levels of learning skills and achievement.…”

“…In this paper, we offer solutions to these problems. These solutions are the result of the reflection and work of the professors of the IES Norba Caesarina, who participate in the Interactive Mathematics project by implementing a Blended-Learning model with Augmented Reality and Game books (MILAGE) [3] and therefore are involved, with significant modifications, in the editing process [2] of e-books in EPUB 3 format.…”
