Parotid gland sialolithiasis is an uncommon condition that can cause pain and recurrent infection in affected patients. Migration of a stone through a fistula is a rare but possible complication of untreated sialolithiasis. We present a case of parotid gland sialolithiasis in a 63-year-old woman with recurrent episodes of parotitis and facial pain, which resolved through spontaneous extrusion of the stone (11 mm) through a cutaneous fistula while awaiting surgery. Management is typically conservative or surgical, depending on the location and size of the stone, and the clinical presentation.

Orocutaneous fistula is a pathologic communication between the oral cavity and cutaneous surface. Orocutaneous fistula can occur because of dental infections, salivary gland lesions, neoplasms, or branchial fistula. Overwhelming majority comprises of parotid fistula, submandibular fistula is indeed a rare finding. We report a very unusual case of a large calculus in submandibular gland with a communicating neck fistula.

A giant stone is not common, since its diagnosis and treatment is usually performed before the lesion becomes enlarged. A male patient referred to our clinic with complaints of painful neck swelling, trismus and dysphasia. The patient was hospitalized with the diagnosis of deep neck infection, and antibiotherapy was initiated. Computerized tomographic evaluation showed an opacity in the first neck region. [2,4] Ya n ilerlemesi ile salg sal aktivitede azalma, elektrolit yo unlu undaki de i iklikler, glikoprotein sentezinde bozulma, tükürük bezinin hücre zar nda ortaya ç kan de i iklikler ta geli imini kolayla t r r.
