Mie Scattering in the Macroscopic Response and the Photonic Bands of Metamaterials

Abstract: Herein, a general approach for the numerical calculation of the effective dielectric tensor of metamaterials is presented, and it is shown that the formalism may be used to study metamaterials beyond the long‐wavelength limit.
