“…The presence of minor marine palynomorphs, such as proximate dinoflagellate cysts, suggests a transgression in their studied interval. The palynological assemblages found in the Hojedk Formation indicated a diverse range of parent flora, with ferns, bryophytes and gymnosperms (including mainly conifers and ginkgophytes) being the most prevalent in descending quantitative order (Badihagh et al, 2019). By comparing these parent floras with modern plant ecology, those researchers concluded that these palynomorphs accumulated in a moist, warm climate during the Middle Jurassic.…”
