Abstract: We demonstrate room temperature mid-infrared photodetection using resonantly absorbing GeSn/Ge core/shell nanowire photonic crystals. For emission, we designed and characterized mid-infrared emission of resonantly scattering GeSn/Ge coreshell nanowires with 912% Sn.
