Abstract:The objective of this study was to maximize the biofuel content of water hyacinth obtained from microwave pyrolysis of. Box-Behnkenof response surface methodology was applied for the experimental design. Under the optimal condition: 1110W of power, 3.5m of reaction time, 2% of the amount of the absorbent, the maximum biofuel content from microwave pyrolysis of water hyacinth was 20.17%.
