Abstract:Microwave applications such as communications and radars require stable, efficient, and low‐noise microwave oscillators. For this purpose, microwave oscillators are characterized by their frequency of operation, output power, phase noise, long‐term stability, and DC‐to‐RF efficiency. This article discusses the small‐signal and large‐signal designs of microwave oscillators, based on the negative‐resistance model. Also, the injection‐locking phenomenon is introduced and analyzed employing the equivalent‐circuit … Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
