Microstructures and Mechanical Properties of Friction Welded Ti–6Al–4V Alloy

Abstract: We investigated the relationship between the microstructure and mechanical properties of Ti6Al4V alloy subjected to friction welding (FW). In this work, specimens with a diameter of 15 mm and length of 50 mm were prepared, and FW was performed at a constant rotation speed (1600 rpm) and different upset lengths (1 mm and 3 mm).
