An analysis of the casting process and structure - formation mechanism of aluminum alloys of the Al-Cu-TiC system with high specific strength is performed. The advantages and features of using titanium carbide as an alloying component in order to create nanoscale composite materials (CM) are considered. The results of experiments for the production of CM with a homogeneous structure of Al+5%Cu+ TiC are shown. TiC nanoparticles in the parent melt are described. optimal size ratios and additive ratios of titanium carbide particles in the parent alloy are substantiated.
