“…In our investigations, during the past few years, we have successfully achieved a very uniform distribution of the reinforcement phases in different types of matrices through the solid-state powder processing technique of MA [36][37][38][39][40][41][42][43][44]. These include homogeneous dispersion of lead in Al and Al-Cu alloys [36], graphite in an Al-6061 alloy matrix [37], effect of clustering of the reinforcement on the mechanical properties of the composites [38], dispersion of a high volume fraction of Al 2 O 3 in Al [20] and Mg [39], SiC in Al [40], AlN in Mg [41], Ti 5 Si 3 in g-TiAl [42,43], and synthesis of MoSi 2 + Si 3 N 4 composites for high temperature applications [44]. However, in this article, we will describe our new results obtained in two systems.…”
