Microstructure and Electrical Properties of Fluorene Polyester Based Nanocomposite Dielectrics

Abstract: As a new type of dielectric material, the low dielectric constant and corona resistance life of fluorene polyester (FPE) restricts the range of its applications. In order to simultaneously achieve a high dielectric constant and the long corona aging lifetime of FPE, SiO2 nanoparticles were chosen as additive to prepare FPE-based composite films. The microstructure of the composite film was characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), infrared spectroscopy (IR) and small-angle X… Show more

“…Besides, based on Porod law for polymers, the interface thickness ( t ) of the composites can be calculated. The formulas are as follows 25 : σgoodbreak=normalm tgoodbreak=σ2π wheremis the slope in each Porod curve and σ the standard deviation of the gaussian function. t value of UiO‐66/PI composites is shown in the Figure 2D.…”

“…Fluorene polyester (FPE) is a novel kind of dielectric material belonging to the hetero-aromatic family that can be used for insulating, storing energy, and other applications. 23 FPE establishes itself by its superior properties. The dielectric constant and breakdown strength of FPE are 3.5 and 524 kV/mm, respectively, while the dielectric loss is lower and can be kept to less than 0.003 in the range of 25-250 C. 23,24 At present, FPE films can be prepared by the solution blending method, which has higher charge and discharge efficiency and less temperature effect.…”
