Microstructural, thermal, and conducting properties of Bi4−xPbxV2O11−δ (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.4) compound as solid electrolyte

Abstract: The effects of doping were investigated with respect to concentration of dopant and sintering temperature. The compound is prepared by a solid‐state reaction route sintered in the temperature range from 750 to 825 °C. X‐ray diffraction study reveals the existence of α‐phase of Bi4−xPbxV2O11−δ compound for all compositions of 0.1 ≤ x ≤ 0.4. However, the formation of solid solution was observed up to x = 0.2. The higher conductivity obtained for x = 0.2 composition of the sample also supports this finding. The s… Show more

“…Most of the research till now has been carried out to understand structural behavior of doped/undoped bismuth vanadate and its effect particularly on electrical properties 12–16. However, so far, their optical behavior in correlation to doping as well as microstructural changes has not been reported yet.…”
