Microprogramming for the hardware engineer

Abstract: With the advent of the Am2901 four-bit microprocessor slice and the Am2909 bipolar microprogram sequencer, the design engineer can upgrade the performance of existing systems or implement new systems taking advantage of the latest state-of-the-art technology in Low-Power Schottky integrated circuits. These devices, however, utilize a new concept in machine design not familiar to many design engineers. This technique is called microprogramming.
