Abstract:With the advent of the Am2901 four-bit microprocessor slice and the Am2909 bipolar microprogram sequencer, the design engineer can upgrade the performance of existing systems or implement new systems taking advantage of the latest state-of-the-art technology in Low-Power Schottky integrated circuits. These devices, however, utilize a new concept in machine design not familiar to many design engineers. This technique is called microprogramming.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
