“…Due to their abundant presence in waterbodies, they are more likely to be ingested by invertebrates such as oysters, mussels, shrimps and echinoderms ( Baechler et al., 2020 ; Hermabessiere et al., 2019 ; Mohsen et al., 2019 ; Patterson et al., 2019 ; Li et al., 2015 ; Vandermeersch et al., 2015 ) which could impair their feeding behaviour and disrupt their energy budget ( Lusher et al., 2013 ).
