Microleakage of Sealants after Phosphoric Acid, Er: YAG Laser and Air Abrasion Enamel Conditioning: Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

Abstract: The evidence supports that the pretreatment with phosphoric acid leads lower microleakage in oclusal sealants than Er:YAG laser and air abrasion.

“…Among the study topics in Paediatric Dentistry, most of the SRs focused on preventive strategies (37.5%) followed by restorative procedures (16.6%), pediatric endodontic procedures (16.6%), and behavior management aspects (16.6%). On contacting the authors on the scores, eight out of 24 authors responded . Three authors agreed to the scores and five authors provided justification for changes in the scores.…”

“…As to general mechanical surface, the distribution function ψ(z) of the convex body height z in Equation (26) obeys the normal distribution (mean value is μ; standard deviation is σ ′ ). As shown in Figure 7, the normal distribution curve is close to the exponential distribution in the range of more than h, so the distribution function ψ(z) in Equation (26) can be approximately expressed as the following exponential function 33 :…”

“…25 With the development of material science, chemistry, surface physics, and testing technology, the friction mechanism has also been further studied. 26,27 This provides a theoretical basis for revealing the abrasion law and establishing a better prediction model. On the basis of the method of mathematical modeling, 28 Archard and former Soviet Union scholar Gaiersiji have quantitatively deduced the theory of adhesive abrasion and the theory of fatigue abrasion, which have been widely applied.…”
