“…The need for processed alumina and the choice of range of pH (7.2-7.4) of the adsorbent and the solvent systems to effect a clean separation of procaine penicillin and sulfamethazine from other drugs have been discussed in the earlier report (8). To avoid the laborious procedure of extraction of the drugs from the adsorbent alumina, a convenient technique was developed using a hot waterjacketed filtering funnel.…”
