Microcapsules made of sodium alginate for the prolonged release of phenibut

Abstract: A prolonged system of the pharmaceutical substance delivery with nootropic effect was developed; it was phenibut in the form of microcapsules. The polymers used were sodium alginate as polyanion and Calcium chloride as polycation. It was realized by spraying a solution of sodium alginate in a solution of Calcium chloride, which induces the gelation.
