Microcamera Visualisation System to Overcome Specular Reflections for Tissue Imaging

Abstract: In vivo tissue imaging is an essential tool for medical diagnosis, surgical guidance, and treatment. However, specular reflections caused by glossy tissue surfaces can significantly degrade image quality and hinder the accuracy of imaging systems. In this work, we further the miniaturisation of specular reflection reduction techniques using micro cameras, which have the potential to act as intra-operative supportive tools for clinicians. In order to remove these specular reflections, two small form factor came… Show more

“…Hence the volume of the dispensing liquid should be app priate to cover the whole substrate dot to ensure co-crystallization without redundan Although an integrated robotic sample transfer device that could process fluid samp for mass spectrometry was invented, the system was open-loop controlled, leading droplets not being generated precisely enough [22]. A visual image recognition syst was widely used to control the on-demand movements of motors to reduce position errors [23][24][25][26]. Hence, an automated droplet-on-demand dispensing system with clos loop feedback control is required for the sample preparation of the MALDI-TOFMS [2 In this paper, a home-built, automated micro liquid dispensing system was dev oped and validated for the preparation of samples.…”

“…Classification methods [32] are then utilized to classify the extracted features, enabling the identification of diseases or conditions. Visualization techniques [33] help in the interpretation and display of the analysis results for clinicians and researchers. Localization methods [34] precisely determine the spatial location of abnormalities or structures within the images, aiding in diagnosis and treatment planning.…”
