Microbial remediation of contaminated soils.

Abstract: Our environment is threatened by thousands of contaminants, mainly as a result of human activities and industrialization. These include both inorganic (e.g. heavy metals) and organic compounds (e.g. polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated hydrocarbons and herbicides).
