“…Movile Cave and surrounding wells in the Mangalia region, highlighting the versatility of Thiothrix-crustacean associations in sulfidic ecosystems. This is the first report of an association between Thiothrix and groundwater microcrustaceans, and the second report of an association between Thiothrix and a nonmarine ostracod (Khalzov et al 2021).…”

“…Among the dominant taxa of B. calyciflorus -associated bacteria, unclassified Alphaproteobacteria and A llorhizobium-Neorhizobium-Pararhizobium-Rhizobium of Rhizobiales were the two genera with the highest relative abundance, which have no obvious changing trend during the whole population growth cycle. Studies have shown that Alphaproteobacteria is not only dominant in rotifer-associated bacteria, but also widely exists in Cladocera ( Grossart et al, 2009 ), Copepods ( Dziallas et al, 2013 ) and Protozoa ( Khalzov et al, 2021 ). The members of Rhizobiales are mostly nitrogen-fixing bacteria, which are the most common plant symbioses and also play a potential role in the carbon cycle of freshwater lakes ( Erlacher et al, 2015 ; Wang et al, 2021 ).…”
