How might institutions work with and learn from Indigenous Peoples and communities to support greater social justice and equity? Addressing this question, the chapter demonstrates how an ongoing relationship stemming from Indigenous self-governance has allowed the Mi'kmaw community in Nova Scotia, Canada, to work with St. Francis Xavier University (StFX) to build capacity that supports Indigenous women's leadership.
