Mevinphos residues on strawberries

Abstract: Strawberries from several areas in New Zealand were analysed for mevinphos ('Phosdrin') residues, after spraying by commercial growers. Residues detected were up to 4.2 rug/kg. These residues decayed with half lives of 2-4 days, and all samples had residues below the New Zealand tolerance (1.0 rug/kg) within 6 days of spraying.
