#MeToo

Abstract: Beginning in the fall of 2017, #MeToo evolved as a social media campaign focused primarily on women and their experiences with rape, sexual assault, and sexual harassment. The hashtag drew on the long history of the US women's movement in addressing sexual assault and sexual harassment and on previous work by anti‐rape and anti‐violence activists.
