ResumoO objetivo deste trabalho é realizar uma avaliação lean manufacturing com foco na adoção de práticas verdes em uma empresa química do Polo Industrial de Manaus. Em termos de abordagem do seu problema, este estudo caracteriza-se como uma pesquisa qualitativa, com relação aos objetivos, caracteriza-se como uma pesquisa exploratória e quanto ao procedimento metodológico, caracterizase como estudo de caso. As técnicas de pesquisa utilizadas foram: (1) documentação indireta (pesquisa documental e bibliográfica), (2) a observação direta intensiva (observação estruturada in loco e entrevista semiaberta); e (3) observação direta extensiva (aplicação de formulário). Entre os principais resultados evidenciam-se (1) a redução do lead time nos processos; (2) a possibilidade de redução dos custos; (3) e o aumento da qualidade. A relevância da pesquisa reside na aplicação de uma abordagem que possibilite analisar a sinergia entre lean manufacturing e as questões ambientais na busca pela redução de desperdícios, eficiência operacional e aumento de competitividade. AbstractThe objective of this work is to carry out a lean manufacturing evaluation focused on the adoption of green practices in a chemical company of the Industrial Pole of Manaus. In terms of approach to its problem, this study is characterized as a qualitative research, in relation to the objectives, is characterized as an exploratory research and as to the methodological procedure, it is characterized as a case study. The research techniques used were: (1) indirect documentation (documental and bibliographic research), (2) intensive direct observation (structured observation in loco and semiopen interview); and (3) extensive direct observation (application of form). Among the main results are (1) the reduction of lead time in the processes; (2) the possibility of reducing costs; (3) and increasing quality. The relevance of the research lies in the application of an approach that makes it possible to analyze the synergy between lean manufacturing and environmental issues in the search for waster eduction, operational efficiency and increased competitiveness.

The bakery industry has great economic and social importance in the city of Medellin; most of the companies are small with high levels of informality, low value added and productivity. Lean Manufacturing has become one of the most popular paradigms of waste disposal in the industrial sector and services, with great benefits of their practice on the improvement of the quality and organizational productivity. This work evaluates the level of implementation of the lean manufacturing techniques in the micro and small enterprises in Medellin, in the food sector. It was using diagnostic and follow-up tools with questionnaire to the production chief, which include 9 techniques or tools, and a variable of administration that allow organizations to a guide, to improve the current conditions of productivity. The main results show that the outstanding Lean practices are: PokaYoke, Kaizen and visual factory. However, for which the sector is considered to be of world class, the practices must be strengthened: VSM (generation of value), JIT (Production Flow) and ADMON (Administration). In addition, organizations must increase sales least 139, 20% to increase the level of efficiency of the sector, without changing the number of employees.

ISSN 0104-530X (Print) ISSN 1806-9649 (Online) Resumo: O baixo índice de sucesso e as mudanças estruturais e organizacionais necessárias para a Implantação da Produção Enxuta (IPE) indicam a necessidade do uso da abordagem de Gestão de Riscos (GR) para gerenciar esta transformação. Este artigo tem como objetivo apresentar um modelo gráfico para explicitar as relações entre os riscos na IPE por meio da utilização da Interpretative Structural Modelling em uma empresa e entender os motivos destas relações. O estudo está baseado em um caso conduzido na unidade de uma empresa global fabricante de componentes hidráulicos. A coleta de dados foi realizada por meio de múltiplas fontes de evidência, como entrevistas, observações, visitas à fábrica e análise de documentos. O modelo desenvolvido propiciou o esclarecimento e entendimento dos efeitos diretos e indiretos da presença dos riscos na IPE na empresa. As principais relações identificadas no modelo foram confirmadas por meio das explicações dos motivos pelos quais tais relações ocorriam no caso. Abstract:The low success rate and the complex structural and organizational changes required for lean production implementation (LPI) require the use of the risk management approach to manage this transformation. This paper aims to present a graphical model to explain the relationships between the risks in LPI through interpretive structural modeling (ISM) and to understand the reasons behind such relationships. The case study was conducted in a factory of a global company that manufactures hydraulic components. Data were collected from multiple sources, including interviews, observations, visits to the plant, and document analysis. The research contributed to clarifying and understanding the direct and indirect influences of risks that hinder the LPI at the plant. The main relationships identified in the model were confirmed by explanations of reasons for such relationships occurred in the case.
