Método de quadrados: tamanho da amostra em levantamentos de espumas de cigarrinhas-das-pastagens

Abstract: Para estimar o número médio de espumas de cigarrinhas-das-pastagens, por área, pelo método de quadrados, é necessário definir o número e o tamanho dos quadrados, a fim de obter estimativas com determinado grau de precisão. Em cada uma de cinco localidades paulistas, foi demarcada uma área de 1 ha e dividida em 25 partes, contíguas, de 20 x 20m (parcelas), nas quais foram lançados, ao acaso, quatro quadrados de 0,25 x 0,25m e dois de 0,50 x 0,50m.
