Temporomandibular joint disorder (TMD) is a common problem with various clinical signs and symptoms of the structures of the masticatory system, including the masticatory muscles and the temporomandibular joint, often found in the age group of 20-40 years. People with TMD symptoms can show at least one symptom of the disorder. The prevalence of TMD was reported among dental students. This study aims to determine differences in the majority of symptoms of temporomandibular joint disorder in students of the Faculty of Dentistry, Jenderal Achmad Yani University class of 2020 in 2021 and 2023. This research is an analytical study using a cross-sectional approach. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test with 54 research subjects from the Faculty of Medicine class 2020. This study found that in 2021, there were 88.8% of students, while in 2023, 87% of students suffered from symptoms of temporomandibular joint disorder with a score p=0.739. No significant difference in the prevalence of temporomandibular joint disorder symptoms in 2021 and 2023.

Penelitian dilatarbelakangi dari permasalahan yang ditemukan pada saat observasi yaitu anak kesulitan dalam membedakan bentuk huruf, huruf yang diketahui oleh anak hanya 1 atau 2 huruf saja, dan metode pembelajaran yang dilakukan oleh guru belum bervariasi, maka dari itu perlu suatu upaya untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, salah satunya dengan menggunakan media eat the vocal. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media eat the vocal terhadap kemampuan mengenal huruf vokal pada anak tunagrahita di SLB Bangun Putra Kasihan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen group pretest posttest design dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 5 anak. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan pretest, perlakuan (treatment), dan posttest. Analisis yang digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis penelitian menggunakan SPSS versi 25 yaitu Uji Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test pada taraf signifikansi ? =0,05. Hasil analisis diperoleh nilai Asymp.sig. (2- tailed) sebesar 0,041 yang artinya nilai nilai Asymp.sig. (2- tailed) lebih kecil (<) dari 0,05, maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan antara hasil nilai pre-test dan post-test, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh media eat the vocal terhadap kemampuan mengenal huruf vokal anak tunagrahita di SLB Bangun Putra Kasihan
