Abstract:There is a significant amount of arsenic species in the environment and in biological systems; however, the toxicity and possibly the carcinogenicity of ingested arsenic depend on the species and the oxidation state. Therefore, analytical methodologies and techniques that are fast and robust, that involve highly efficient separation and are powerful tools of detection are necessary for the correct quantification of individual arsenic species. The field of speciation analysis of arsenic in this area has grown r… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
