Considering fuzziness of the fuzzy subset boundary value for interval-valued variables are introduced into fuzzy Bayesian networks. A reliability analysis method based on an interval-valued triangular fuzzy Bayesian network is proposed in this paper. It expanded the application from a two-state system to a multi-state system, and assessed the reliability evaluation of the multi-state system. First, the interval-valued variables were introduced into a triangular fuzzy subset, and an interval-valued triangular fuzzy subset was built. Second, the algorithm of the defuzzified leaf node failure probability, interval-valued fuzzy posterior probability and interval-valued fuzzy importance were given based on the interval-valued triangular fuzzy subset and features of a Bayesian network. It was proved that the proposed method was feasible by comparing with T-S fuzzy importance analysis methods and fuzzy Bayesian network analysis methods. Finally, a fuzzy reliability assessment of a digital protection system based on an IEC61850 standard seamless real-time communication system was conducted by the proposed method.

Wireless sensor networks (WSN) covers many kinds of technologies, such as technology of sensor, embedded system, wireless communication, etc. WSN is different from the traditional networks in size, communication distance and energy-constrained so as to develop new topology, protocol, quality of service (QoS), and so on. In order to solve the problem of self-organizing in the topology, this paper proposes a novel strategy which is based on communication delay between sensors. Firstly, the gateway selects some boundary nodes to connect. Secondly, the boundary nodes choose inner nodes. The rest may be deduced by analogy. Finally, a net-tree topology with multi-path routing is developed. The analyses of the topology show that net-tree has strong ability in self-organizing and extensible. However, the scale of system is usually very large and complexity so that it is hard to detect the failure nodes when the nodes fail. To solve the greater challenge, the paper proposes to adopt fault tree analysis. Fault tree is a commonly used method to analyze the reliability of a network or system. Based on the fault tree analysis, a parallel computing algorithm is represented to these faults in the net-tree. Firstly, two models for parallel processing are came up and we focus on the parallel processing algorithm based on the cut sets. Then, the speedup ratio is studied. Compare with the serial algorithm, the results of the experiment shows that the efficiency has been greatly improved.

Abstract. Power module is one of the most important modules for automotive safety-critical electronic systems (ASCES) such as electronic steering and braking system. The paper proposes vehicle redundant power (RP) and focuses on improving the safety and reliability of power module for redundant ASCES (RASCES). The proposed vehicle RP adopts isolated strong and weak power based on redundancy theory, which not only has the ability of failure tolerance, but also provides clean and stable electricity to RASCES controllers. Analyzing the safety and reliability of vehicle RP using Fault Tree Analysis method, the failure rate can meet the automotive safety integrity level (ASIL) D random hardware failure target value demand in automotive functional safety standard ISO26262. Failure injection test results show vehicle RP can reach "failure/operation/warning" high safety and reliability.
