Abstract: The aim of the study was to compare the role of metformin on tubulointerstitial fibrosis (TIF) in different stages of diabetic nephropathy (DN) in vivo and evaluate its mechanism in high-glucose-treated Renal tubular epithelial cells (RTECs) in vitro.
