“…Lead (Pb) free perovskite materials have been investigated to be used in many energy storage applications [13,14]. The perovskite calcium titanate (orthorhombic or monoclinic CaTiO 3 ) and geikeilite magnesium titanate (rhombohedral MgTiO 3 ) are being used as attractive materials in many ceramic coating industries [15,16]. It has been found that thermal diffusivity of these materials, e.g., MgTiO 3 -CaTiO 3 , decreases with temperature but thermal conductivity increases with sintering temperature [11].…”

“…The structure of piezoelectric ceramics is perovskite in nature, i.e., M 2+ TiO 3 , and its chemical composition decides its crystal structure, including trigonal (if M=Fe, Co, Ni, Mn, and Mg) or face‐centered cubic (FCC) (if M=Ca, Ba, and Sr) . The geikeilite magnesium titanate (rhombohedral MgTiO 3 ) and calcium titanate (orthorhombic or monoclinic CaTiO 3 ) are very popular materials in coating industries . The thermal conductivity and diffusivity of perovskite materials, such as MgTiO 3 –CaTiO 3 , are increased and decreased, respectively, with sintering temperature .…”

“…Magnesium titanate is of interest, for example, as microwave dielectric ceramics [1,2], while cobalt titanate is used in preparation of magnetic ferroelectric nanocomposite materials [3][4][5] and nanoparticulate gas sensors [6]. The synthetic approaches to these ceramic materials developed so far include the solid state reactions between fine powders [7,8] or even nanoparticles [9,10] of homometallic oxides, or Mg(OH) 2 and titanium oxide [11], co-precipitation reactions in aqueous media [6,12], and, only for MgTiO 3 , the alkoxide based sol-gel approach, based on hydrolysis of solutions of n-butoxides in nBuOH [13]. No metal-organic precursor based approach has been proposed so far to CoTiO 3 and no hydrocarbon-soluble or volatile individual heterometallic precursors to magnesium or cobalt titanate materials have been reported.…”
