Metamaterials dipole antenna by using split ring resonators for RFID technology

Abstract: The article in hand deals with a new approach regarding the technique of miniaturization and the improvement of antennas done by the incorporation of metamaterials. Such an approach is manifested into two different structures of metamaterial antennas, which are implemented for the radio frequency identification technology in the UHF range. The left‐hand metamaterials are presented first by the conventional split ring resonators (SRRs) and second by a new structure proposed of a SRR Toothed. The parameters cons… Show more

“…Resonator Structure on PIFA Antenna use the geometry of the radiating element as the geometry fractal and refolding [6][7].The second class includes methods that use the concept of high permittivity substrates [8]. In the third class, includes methods that use metamaterials that can be metallic metamaterials or complementary metamaterials.…”

“…The generalisation of wireless communication systems needs to miniaturise antennas in fact to allow their integration in UHF communications . At these frequencies, the microstrip antenna is the largest component and its miniaturisation is one of the most important current challenges for designers of communicating objects.…”
