“…Besides GO, its hybrids with porous fillers like zeolites, metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are also dispersed in polymeric matrices for improving the membrane's robustness and separation ability. Karanikolos's group 102 integrated the inorganic ZIF-8/GO hybrid nanofillers into the organic PSF matrix via solution blending. The resulted mixed-matrix membranes (PSF+ZIF-8/GO) showed a sharp rise in CO 2 permeability (61% vs pristine PSF) and selectivity (87% vs pristine PSF) against CH 4 .…”

“…With the rapid development of global economy and advance of human dependence on energy, large quantity of greenhouse gases (e.g., CO 2 ) is increasingly released into the atmosphere as the result of the consumption of huge proportion of fossil fuels such as coal and petroleum . In turn, it induces critical environmental problems, that is, greenhouse effect, acid rain, weather disasters, climate warming, sea level rise, and loss of biodiversity . Therefore, carbon dioxide capture has been attracting considerable attention especially for the widespread use of boiler, gas turbine, power plant, smelting furnace, and so forth .…”

“…Even though the experimental performance of MMMs did not overcome the performance for the pair of gases CO 2 /CH 4 reported in the literature, it is noteworthy the addition of 10 wt % of clinoptilolite impregnated with EA and BHPA represented an important approach to the upper bound. In addition, a comparison of the performance of some polysulfone‐based MMMs reported recently, and the MMMs reported in this work are listed in Table S1 . It could be seen that modified clinoptilolite could be considered as a good candidate to be used as filler in MMM to improve the CO 2 permeability and CO 2 /CH 4 selectivity.…”
