Metal–Organic Framework-Based Selective Molecular Recognition of Organic Amines and Fixation of CO2 into Cyclic Carbonates

Abstract: Synthesis and structural depiction of two new metal−organic frameworks ( M O F s ) , n a m e l y , [ { Z n ( L ) ( o b a ) }and 5-H 2 nipa = 5-nitroisophthalic acid) are reported. Both Zn-MOF-1 and Cd-MOF-2 have been prepared by reacting ligand L and coligand 4,4′-H 2 oba or 5-H 2 nipa with the respective dihydrates of Zn(OAc) 2 and Cd(OAc) 2 (OAc = acetate). Crystal structure Xray analysis discloses that Zn-MOF-1 displays an overall 2D → 3D interpenetrated framework structure. The topological analysis by Topo… Show more

“…TON is defined as the number of substrate moles that 1 mol of catalyst can convert into products, whereas TOF is simply computed as TON/reaction time. [162,[212][213][214][215][216][217][218][219][220][221][222][223][224][225][226][227][228][229][230] For example, My-Thao and his coworkers [162] biogenically synthesized Au and Ag NPs using waste Passiflora edulis fruit peels. The green spherical NPs were evaluated for catalytic activity against four common dye pollutants (MO, EY, Rh6G, and RhB).…”

“…On the other hand, although a series of indium(III)-based MOFs have been reported, few have the nanoporous structure, which should be ascribed to the fact that the large ionic radius and the d 10 electronic configuration of In 3+ tend to result in coordination diversity. [25][26][27] Therefore, it remains a challenge to realize the construction of solventaccessible cluster-based metal-organic frameworks with In 3+ as a constituent element.…”

“…[41][42][43][44][45][46][47] These chemicals have been widely applied as aprotic polar solvents, lithium batteries, and chemical intermediates for the synthesis of chemicals. [48][49][50] So far, various homogeneous (such as phosponium salts [51,52] and ionic liquids [53,54] ) and heterogeneous catalysts (such as metal oxides, [55,56] covalent organic frameworks [COFs], [57,58] and CPs [45][46][47][59][60][61][62][63][64] ) have been explored for the cycloaddition of CO 2 with epoxides. Among these, CPs with high-density coordinationunsaturated metal sites are conducive to the fixation of CO 2 , which has attracted extensive attention.…”
