Abstract

Metal Nitrate Driven Nitro Hunsdiecker Reaction with α,β-Unsaturated Carboxylic Acids under Solvent-Free Conditions. -Twelve metal nitrates are tested under conditions F) and the optimal results are presented in the scheme. Aliphatic and aromatic substrates are decarboxylated to give the corresponding unsaturated nitro compounds.
