Metal‐Free One‐Pot Synthesis of Tri‐ and Difluoromethylated Bis(carbazolyl)methanes

Abstract

A general, efficient and regioselective protocol has been developed for the synthesis of trifluoromethylated bis(carbazolyl)methanes. This metal-free transformation proceeds smoothly under air atmosphere and features broad scope for both reaction partners. This method could also be extended to the synthesis of difluoromethylated and chlorodifluoromethylated bis(carbazolyl)methanes.
