Abstract:Drug delivery is a key component of nanomedicine, and conventional delivery relies on the adsorption or encapsulation of drug molecules to a nanomaterial. Many delivery vehicles contain metal ions such as metal‐organic frameworks, metal oxides, transition metal dichalcogenides, MXene and noble metal nanoparticles. These materials have a high metal content and pose potential long‐term toxicity concerns leading to difficulties for clinical approval. In this review, we summarize recent developments in the use of … Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
