Metabolism of Herbicides

Abstract: Herbicide metabolism in plants and microorganisms is a major factor in the dissipation of these compounds in the environment. Metabolic degradation of herbicides by plant enzymes is the main mechanism of plant resistance to such phytotoxic chemicals.
