“…Mild elevations of CRP levels are predictive of coronary heart disease (Lim, et al, 2005;Ridker, Wilson, & Grundy, 2004;Sattar et al, 2003) and it may be an important precursor of T2DM and the Metabolic Syndrome (Sattar et al;Yudkin, et al, 2000). Nakanishi et al (2005) found CPR levels increased continuously across the spectrum of fasting glucose and CRP levels also increased as the number of Metabolic Syndrome Components increased (p = 0.003).
