Abstract: Obese women with metabolic syndrome are at increased risk for cardio-thrombo-metabolic dysfunction that leads to pregnancy-related venous thromboembolism (VTE), hypertensive disorders of pregnancy (HDP), and gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM).
