Abstract:Alzheimer's disease (AD) is associated with chronic neurodegeneration and is the cause of the most common form of dementia. The main hallmarks of AD are aggregates of amyloid beta (Aβ) and formation of hyperphosphorylated tau neurofibrillary tangles (NFTs).
