Metabolic Reconstruction Elucidates the Lifestyle of the Last Diplomonadida Common Ancestor

Abstract: Diplomonads are a group of microbial eukaryotes found in oxygen-poor environments. There are both parasitic (e.g., Giardia intestinalis) and free-living (e.g., Trepomonas) members in the group.
