Abstract

Obesity, metabolic syndrome and diabetes are closely inter-related disorders.• • Common mechanisms linking obesity, metabolic syndrome and diabetes, especially insulin resistance, suggest that reducing symptoms in one of these disorders may reduce the risk of another.
