“…Interestingly, on long-term follow-up, we found that patients with an FFR.0.80 were significantly more likely to suffer MACE than patients with an FFR0.80, the primary driver being a higher incidence of TVR (12.9% versus 5.3%). Early reports using bare metal stents to treat patients with FFR,0.80 found there was a 17% incidence [14] of TVR at 18 months but more recent studies employing second generation drug eluting stents have demonstrated very low rates of 3.7% at 3 years [5].
