Mesopredator‐mediated trophic cascade can break persistent phytoplankton blooms in coastal waters

Abstract: Managing eutrophied systems using only nutrient decreases to impose bottom–up control can be economically and ecologically challenging. Top–down controls through increased consumption have sometimes effectively controlled phytoplankton blooms.
